Cannot add new account to quicken classic deluxe

My quicken version is R62.16 Build 27.1.62.16 (subscription expired) and I'm on windows 10 home edition.

My quicken data file is on a networked drive and is ~1600KB in size. I have used this setup for many years but now I am NOT able to add a new account. The add account command does nothing, no errors, no prompts, nothing. Both validate and super validate find no errors. Other functions still seem to be working. Any suggestion of what to try next would be greatly appreciated.

Did your subscription expire after you updated to R62.16 or before you updated?

If it was before you updated, then you will need to down-rev your installation to the version that was current at the time your subscription expired. See this Support Article for information on how to do that:

You should, however, be able to use the Offline Account tab in the Add Accounts dialog to add an offline account of any type.

To add a little clarification:

When the subscription for Deluxe and higher expires, you should be able to have full manual functionality of the program, including adding new manual accounts. (For Starter this functionality is more limited, most notably that new manual accounts cannot be added.)
The exception to this is that this full manual functionality exists only with the version of Quicken that was current (or earlier) at the time your subscription expired. Trying to run Quicken with a version dated later than that will result in the data file not being able to be opened at all or, in the rare case that it can be opened, it will not perform correctly.

@kwatt - try uninstalling and reinstalling the Quicken program. It doesn't affect your data file, but there might be some installation issues that is causing your problem.

With an expired subscription you can no longer perform any actions that require online connectivity, i.e., download transactions, download quotes and add, activate or deactivate online accounts.

You should, however, be able to use the Offline Account tab in the Add Accounts dialog to add an offline account of any type.

And, should you decide to renew your subscription, you will then be able to activate the account for downloading if needed.

The solution proposed by Boatnmanic resolved the problem. Thank you very much!!

However, I am now faced with the two annoying membership expired banners. I find these unacceptable and as a 20+ year user of Quicken I am uninstalling and looking for other options.
