Switch money market fund back from cash to mutual fund?

The question above was submitted by someone in 2022. I followed the instructions provided to change the way Quicken is tracking the money market fund. The dialogue box that comes up when clicking on the settings gear for the relevant account, does present the choice for cash representation (i.e., cash or money market fund). The box also shows at the top of the box the total cash plus the money market and the actual cash. So Schwab is sending the money market fund info. But when I select to change to track as money market, it doesn't change anything when I exit, come back in and update again.

What version of Quicken are you using?

That screen shot you posted was available fairly early on after Schwab elected to move from Direct Connect to EWC+, but I don't think it's available anymore in more current versions, at least I couldn't find it.

The question about the treatment of the Schwab MMF now comes up when you re-authorize Schwab to download information into Quicken. That same question came up just recently and I gave that user my suggestions as to how to make this work properly here: https://community.quicken.com/discussion/7962046/quicken-shows-cash-as-the-sum-of-cash-and-prime-advantage-money-fund
