Closed Accounts

I closed four Vanguard accounts after the shares were all transferred to Fidelity.

I just realized that my Returns for the closed Vanguard accounts are not included in my Returns in the portfolio register.

Unfortunately, I didn't save a backup copy of Vanguard before closing.

The dividends and interest received are not included in the returns.

Any recommendations or advice to get the returns correctly?

If you click on the Customize button in the Portfolio view, are the closed accounts checked on the Accounts tab?

If you group the Portfolio view by Accounts, are the closed accounts shown? Are the new accounts shown?

As usual, we need to know the exact name of the Portfolio view column or columns affected. Return? Return YTD? Something else?

(Not that it will help you now, but for next time) There is currently no way to reopen closed accounts. For this reason, I never close accounts, I just disconnect them from online services and hide them. Please add your vote to this Idea post.

Jim—I tried to cast my voye, but no yellow box on top of page 1.

You won't believe this————My returns were off for all securities that had interest and dividends from Vanguard (Closed Accounts)

When I reopened Quicken, My returns were all correct and included all Vanguard closed accounts.

    I didn't change anything!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@Gary R you can still enter, change, or update any transaction for a closed account. So if it is just a matter of updating your investment register for missed transactions, you can easily do it like any other account. If the closed account is hidden, there are several ways to access it, by clicking on "More accounts" in your account list, or by going to Tools→Manage Hidden Accounts.

Yes—-I'm aware that you can make any changes in the closed accounts.

    Thank you
