Quicken Classic won't open file after re-install [Edited/Removed-Violation of Community Guidelines]

I have trouble every time I have to reinstall quicken. This time, I had to restore the OS from scratch on my computer. I went to download Quicken. I then go open the file I just backed up before doing all this and Quicken won't open it. No message. Nothing. [Removed - Disruptive]

    Thank you for sharing your experience. This sounds like a very frustrating issue. To help troubleshoot, please provide more information.

    You mentioned that you had to restore your operating system (OS) from scratch. What happened that caused you to need to reinstall the OS?

    You said the file won't open. Have you tested to see if the Quicken program opens? Did you try restarting your computer after installing Quicken?

    Do you have a recent copy of the file or recent backup stored on a cloud service or external media (like a flash drive or removable hard drive)? If you do, have you tested to see if any of those will open?
