I have been having issues with American Express updates too. I have 3 active accounts and never know if they have downloaded or not. Quicken does not leave me a message saying either way. I have to deactivate and reactivate each and every time. I have used all the help functions, screens to not always have actions recommended available as they are greyed out. Very frustrating.

Thanks for reaching out. I took a look at the internal errors and I am only showing a status of "ok" for your American Express account(s).
Are you seeing any specific error messages or codes within the Quicken app when you try to update these accounts?
If not, please go ahead and submit a problem report with your logs so we can investigate more deeply. Here’s how to do that:
