Now unable to run Quicken on Windows 11 ARM on Mac (VMware Fusion)

When I try to run Quicken, it no longer comes up.
When I look in Task Manager, it shows under "Background processes", a "Quicken Windows (32 bit)" entry with 0 % CPU, 3.4MB of RAM.
At the same time, I then see in process explorer HUNDREDS of 'werfault.exe'.
PS C:\WINDOWS\system32> Get-Process -Name WerFault | Measure-object
Count : 768
Average :
Sum :
Maximum :
Minimum :
Property :
When I look in the Event Viewer, I've seen this from prior reboot attempts (after the problem first happened).
Process C:\Windows\SysWOW64\WerFault.exe is delaying system shutdown after 5000 milliseconds.
Any pointers? Doing a clean boot doesn't fix anything as I cannot seem to find the issue.

Hello @JeremyMG,
Thank you for reaching out and telling us about your issue!
Have you tried uninstalling/reinstalling Quicken? Please refer to the following support articles for instructions on uninstalling here and reinstalling here.
However, after you have uninstalled and before you proceed with reinstalling, please open your Windows File Explorer and navigate to This PC > C: Drive > Program Files (x86) and delete the folder titled "Quicken" (doing so does not affect your data files).
After you have deleted this folder, go ahead and try reinstalling.
Let us know how it goes!

It won't let me uninstall it. Werfault.exe is just going nuts and blocks what appears to be 32bit programs from working. Firefox and other ARM native / 64-bit apps run just fine.
I had to do a 'recovery/reinstall' of Windows 11 and then things worked for about 24 hours and now I'm right back to the same issue.

@JeremyMG Thanks for the update!
Since you've already attempted a recovery/reinstall of Windows 11 and are still experiencing the same issue—with werfault.exe interfering with 32-bit programs—this is likely a Windows system-level issue, rather than something Quicken itself can control. At this point, we recommend reaching out to Microsoft Support directly, as they'll be better equipped to diagnose and resolve underlying system errors related to werfault.exe and application compatibility.
While uninstalling and reinstalling Quicken can help rule out app-level corruption, your description points to a broader OS-level issue, especially since it won't let you uninstall, which is why additional troubleshooting from Microsoft would be the best next step.
Let us know if anything changes!

Are there any options you need to specify in VMWare to make Windows run properly?
