Account Overview (Holdings) displays sold fund with a negative value

Question

I sold a fund but Account Overview continues to display it and with a negative value. The operative transaction was the sale of all interests in the money market fund in question and the purchase of a replacement fund. I need to delete the no longer owned fund from the holdings report.

@steveogetsatis a negative share position for MMF#1 means you removed or sold too many shares for that fund, or missed a purchase for that fund.  The adjustments you mentioned are concerning and could be a factor in your issue.

I am assuming that the account was reconciled before all these fund transfers and realignments happened.  If so, then these reconciling issues should be a result of this recent change you made.

I would mirror or verify the transactions you entered in Quicken with the transactions in your IRA online account.   Then, hopefully you will be able to resolve your reconciliation issues and negative shares.

I just completed a top to bottom revamp of my IRA, switching out 14 funds, ETFs and stocks for 11 new funds and ETFs, completed a reconciliation, and BTW had to make a balance adjustment for something I just couldn't figure out amidst all the myriad of transactions. When afterwards I visited Q's "Holdings," which took me to Account Overview, I still see the MMF I sold but with a negative number.

The only elements of my reconciliation that relate to this problem are the same day sale of MMF#1 and the purchase of MMF#2, both for the same value. It is the retention in Holdings of the value of MMF#1 at a negative value that is the problem. I want to know how to correct/adjust Q's Holdings to show this investment holding no longer exists.

When you click on Account Register > upper right Gear icon > Reconcile Shares, what does the popup say?
