I have tried to deactivate then re-link all accounts from Chase then Schwab separately. Although no problem re-linking the accounts, at some points just clicking to open an account caused a hangup that needed to be shut down using task manager.

ONE STEP UPDATE is still not working. I get the same hangup when i just want to update stock prices in my portfolio.

I agree - subscription charges should be suspended until this problem is resolved. The quicken software is essentially unusable.

    Hello @Anne Brillantes,

Thank you for letting us know you're encountering issues with the Quicken program freezing. To help troubleshoot this issue, please provide more information. When did you first notice issues with the program freezing? Was there anything else that happened around the same time, such as a program/computer update or an unexpected program/computer shut down?

Do you keep your Quicken file directly on your local hard drive? You can check the file location in your Quicken program by navigating to the File menu option. Just above the Exit option, it will list the file locations for the four most recent Quicken files you've accessed, with the one you're currently in at the #1 spot. Is your Quicken file synced to any cloud services, such as OneDrive, iCloud, or Dropbox? Usually, if the file is synced, you will see it listed in the file location.

I look forward to your response!

    HI

I believe the hangup first started on May 4 or 5, and I posted the error. Perhaps around the same time, i had a Dell Bios update or reboot needed when I turned on my PC, but my computer itself did not seem to have any issues after that.

I keep multiple Quicken files on my local C: hard drive and I back up daily onto a dropbox back up folder. No it is not synced to any cloud service.

As I mentioned in my previous post, I have deactivated and reactivated all of my chase and schwab accounts. I have several other banks that I download from but I did not do the remaining. I know that all of my other quicken files have the same hangup problem now. I have also restored a backup file from 5/2 and this also had the same hang up problem.

If "…all of my other quicken files have the same hangup problem…" I would start to suspect corrupt program files. If you've run Validate and Super Validate on your files and that doesn't report any issues, I'd consider uninstalling and reinstalling the Quicken program software.

And, stating that your data file(s) are "…on my local C: hard drive…" doesn't specify the location of your datat file(s) because both the recommended Quicken data file location and your Onedrive sync folder are on your local C: hard drive. Copy and paste the full path to your files here.

    "C:\Users\ambri\Documents\Quicken\AMB Accounts.QDF"

    "C:\Users\ambri\Documents\Quicken\AMB SP - Chase Checking.QDF"

    "C:\Users\ambri\Documents\Quicken\FBrillantes.QDF"

    etc.

OK, I will uninstall and reinstall the Quicken program software.

Can you please just go thru steps of manually uninstalling and reinstalling?
