Program slow opening

It just started again taking a couple minutes to open Quicken after entering passwords.

No recent updates and nothing changed.

Anyone else having this issue?

There is no recent pattern of complaints about slow opening.

Is this the same problem you had in March? I see Quicken Support helped you resolve that by changing the location of your data file. What is the full path to your current data file?

Same problem as before—-

Just spent 45 minutes with Quicken support——They are really good!!!!!!!!!

They had to move the file again-change location——sign off and sign back in——but still not working

Then they sent me a link to a manual patch to download and install Quicken again

Working fine again

The only change I made in the past few days on my windows 11 was installing a aquarium screen saver downloaded from Microsoft. The Quicken agent said that had nothing to do with the slow opening yesterday

I know this must be frustrating, but you can skip the multiple exclamation points.

With Quicken closed, try holding down the Ctrl key while double clicking on the Quicken icon on your desktop. This will open Quicken without trying to open your data file. You should see a white screen with just File and Help at the top.

How long does this take to open?

Now click on File and select your data file. How long does that take to open?

This experiment will tell whether it is the program itself that is taking a long time to open or if it is something related to your data file.

Quicken opened immediately

Then 3 minutes to open data file

Support also validated my data file and all good
