Quicken Classic stopped retrieving transactions after Services shutdown

Just recently I was trying to speed up my Windows system and in the process I shut down several of the Windows services. The next day I realized I created an error with Quicken where it would not connect and retrieve any transactions. I tried to pick through them to find the culprit but never did. I ended up turning everything back on and Quicken started working again.
So my question is.. which Windows Services does Quicken Classic rely on? I have over 255 services running and would still like to tidy it up a bit. My system is very sluggish.
Thanks
Mike

Hello @Mike506,
Thank you for reaching out to the Community with this question. Quicken for Windows uses the the standard services that Windows provides for things like accessing the file system, interacting with the network, and managing user interfaces. Unfortunately, we don't have any articles that list exactly which of those services Quicken uses.
Is it just Quicken that is sluggish, or is this a performance issue with your entire computer? If the issue is with your computer, you may want to try reaching out to Microsoft support for help with improving performance.
If the performance issue is just with Quicken, then this FAQ may help:

I hope this helps!
