My Quicken Deluxe for Mac is running slow. How do I speed it up?

I want to speed up my Quicken for Mac. I don't save my data to the cloud , but to my hard drive . How can I correct this situation. I have a brand new Mac and the latest software.

I would refer you back to the comment @RickO made on your last post:

This is the most likely reason that Quicken is running slow.

In most cases, the cause for slow operation of Quicken Mac is that there is an open report window hidden beneath the main window. You're not aware of it because it's out of sight, but every time you enter or edit a transaction, Quicken is rebuilding the report.

Pull down your Window menu and see if anything is shown beneath the grayed-out "Sync Errors". This screenshot shows there are two open reports:

When you close the open windows, you'll find Quicken Mac returns to its normal, snappy self.

Please post back if this solves your problem or not. If not, please provide more details about the size of your data file and where exactly you have it saved on your Mac's hard drive.
