New laptop

How can I get Quicken on my laptop without buying it again?

Should I go to the cloud saving so I can make entries or imports on all of our computers/cell phones?

How did you perform your current installation? Did you use a CD, or download?

If download, just download again … this time to the laptop.

Your license is tied to your Q ID … not to a particular machine.

Then, take a backup from your current machine, preferably to a USB drive, and then Restore to the laptop.

If CD, you do pretty much the same, although you might need to find/borrow a CD drive to connect to the laptop.

@mam as @NotACPA mentioned, your subscription is tied to your Quicken ID. You can install Quicken on your new computer as long as you use the same Quicken ID you used when you purchased Quicken. The easiest way to install Quicken on your new computer is to download it from your Quicken Account. Here are some details from Quicken Support which also has a link for downloading the Quicken program.

Be sure to switch the toggle to "Windows" at the top of the document. For some reason it defaults to "Mac".

You can COPY your active quicken file to the cloud from your "old" computer, and then COPY the file from the cloud to your new computer, to migrate the data permanently or temporarily (I do this whenever traveling), but DO NOT USE a cloud file in Quicken — causes corruption.
