Cannot Backup Quicken 2002

Windows 10 laptop, Quicken 2002
In preparation to transfer Quicken 2002 to a Windows 11 laptop I am trying to perform a backup in order to restore the files on the Windows 11 laptop.
When a backup is performed the Quicken backup window freezes and I cannot even close the back up window.
I have to go to the Task Manager in order to close Quicken
After selecting the backup to execute, the backup window freezes and the laptop has 0 CPU applied to it. Quicken is just locked up. I have tried multiple backup locations, laptops drive and USB.
Can one just copy the current files, .qdf, qel, qph, est and qtx to use as restore files on the new laptop?
Thank you

Yes, you can just copy the FULL set of data files to the second computer. Just copy all of the files with the same filename to the left of the period. I advise putting them in a folder using the same folder hierarchy as the original computer.
You will need to use File→Open file to open the file the first time since the recent file list will be blank at this point in time.

You might want to run a File | File Operations | Copy followed by running File | File Operations | Validate on the copy. That could fix the back up issue. At the least it will compact and clean up your data.
Quicken user since Q1999. Currently using QW2017.
