Where is DSTART in Mac?

Needed to reset DSTART in Windows today as once again. brokerage and IRS were stuck. Setting DSTART a few days back got the data I desired.

Then occured to me, I cannot find this in Mac? No "online tools" menu item I can find. Is DSTART available in Mac? If not, how to I get brokerage to reset to a few days earlier to get the "stuck" download data?

Thanks!

I don’t think there is a way to do that. There are a couple of date fields in account settings but the one time I played around with those they didn’t seem to have an effect.

Two things I would try. First just disconnect and reconnect your account to see if that will redownload the missing transactions. If that doesn’t work then disconnect your brokerage account, create a new brokerage account in Quicken, and connect it to your brokerage. That would give you a fresh download to the new account, and you could drag the missing transactions to the old account. Once the old account is current you can delete the new account and reconnect the old one.

    Hello @Bob.,

    Thanks for your question!

You’re right — the DSTART option isn’t available in Quicken for Mac. That functionality is specific to the Windows version.

If your brokerage or IRS account isn’t downloading recent transactions on Mac, the best approach is to go through the standard troubleshooting steps, which can vary depending on whether you’re seeing an error or the download simply isn’t bringing in expected data.

    Thank you!

Thanks @Quicken Anja . The issue was with windows today and DSTART once again reliably solved the issue. There were 4 transactions that Windows was not downloading. Set DSTART to 5/29/2025 and presto, they were there next OSU.

Have not experienced this with Mac - and hopefully not :) BUT, if there are transactions not being downloaded. what is recommended for troubleshooting/reparing that? I'd like to be prepared.

FWIW, there are a half dozen things in Windows I miss in Mac. Maybe DSTART makes 7. But in general. I find Mac more reliable and does not seem to suffer from the Online Billers issues that drive me half crazy in Windows. Too soon to tell but I am seriously considering making the switch to Mac only.
