Crashing on updating transactions Quicken Classic

Options

My sister is running Quicken Classic Version R62.16, Build 27.1.62.16. on Windows 11 Pro. Her Quicken has crashed multiple times today after trying to update her transactions. I have the same version on a different Windows 11 Pro pc and am having no problem. She has sent in 3 crash reports and has received no response. Can you tell me how long she is likely to have to wait for a response? I can see no reports of this being recent problem on the Community.

It would seem that her data file is corrupt. Her first troubleshooting step would be to restore a known-good backup.

    Thanks, RalphC. We'll try that.

By the way you should not expect any response to a Quicken crash report or from a report submitted via Help > Report a problem.

To get assistance from Quicken Support you must contact them directly. The link is at Help > Contact Support.

Thanks, Jim. I didn't know that. RalphC just update - we were able to open an older data file today, and it did update correctly. Next step now to contact Quicken support to find out how to fix bad data file. Thanks to you both for the responses.

If you were able to recover your data from a backup of your Quicken data file and all is well again, I suggest you keep using that file and abandon the broken data file. It may be unrecoverable and any attempt to repair it may just be a waste of your time.
