Customize split window columns (Q Mac)

Offer the ability to remove columns in the split window that are not used, and add ones that are.

Excess columns decreases column size, decreased column size makes it difficult to quickly review the categories without clicking, dragging, expanding, oh what a bore. At the very least mouse-over view to show column row contents in their entirety.
