HOW TO FIX "this transaction is a transfer to a split" and how to mass-delete warning messages about

As part of archiving and removing old years from my active Quicken file, I am deleting all entries for the year 2016 right now. (Then I will do the same for years 2017 - 2020, one year at a time.)

I am getting a lot of error messages that start out with the quote in the title line. How do I still accomplish the delete operation.

I am also getting a lot of error messages asking me to confirm that i am deleting a transaction that is a transfer to another account, and I have to "OK" the delete one darn message at a time, for tens or hundreds of such messages. Is there a workaround, like mass-deleting those messages?

Thanks.

I'm using Quicken Premier subscription R62.16.

Been using Quicken (and TurboTax) since DOS days in 1990s. Now using Quicken subscription on Windows.

    Hello @Phil Burton,

    Thanks for your question.

Unfortunately, there isn’t currently a way to bypass or mass-delete those confirmation messages. Quicken will prompt you each time you delete a transaction that involves a transfer, or a transaction that's linked to a split, to prevent unintentional data loss or imbalance between accounts.

I know it can be tedious, especially when cleaning up old years, but for now, the process has to be done one transaction at a time.

We apologize for any inconvenience! Thank you.
