When I tried to open my account this morning there were changes to my program made by Quicken, when I tried to open my account I ended up losing everything

    I don't understand the questions Quicken asks and it is always very difficult to navigate you software!

    1. Can you clarify what you mean by “losing everything”? Were your accounts, transactions, or entire file missing?
    2. Did you receive any error messages when trying to open your account?
    3. Had you made any recent backups of your data before this happened?
    4. Did Quicken prompt you for an update when you opened the program?
    5. Do you recall if your file was stored locally on your computer hard drive or on a cloud-service like Dropbox or OneDrive?
    6. Was this your usual Quicken file, or were you asked to create or select a new file?
