Quicken Crashes After Express Web Connect Accounts Download
Yesterday my Quicken Premier R62.16 running on Windows 10 started to crash immediately after One Step Update completed. All of my Direct Connect account updated first without issue. Upon reopening Quicken I noticed that all my Express Web Connect+ bank and investment accounts (Citi, BoA, Chase and Schwab) also updated. When I check the OSU summary it only identifies the Direct Connect Accounts as being updated even though they did prior to the crash. It appears the bug happens during the time that Quicken closes the EWC+ update process and reports it.
My other observation is that 3 days ago all of my EWC+ account required re-validation after running OSU. Each bank was re-validated, accounts linked and data downloaded without issue. Yesterday and today Quicken has crashed immediately after downloading all my EWC+ accounts. I’ve had this problem in the past, but the issue was infrequent. Also, I wanted to share my observation that there may be a correlation to whatever happened on the Quicken Servers three days ago.
I see that this problem was identified in April, but that post was closed. I had no other way to identify that this issue is still a problem, getting worse and providing more detail in the hope that it will help. Any status information on a fix or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hello @Jnic,
Thanks for all the detail you’ve shared—really helpful in understanding the issue.
I noticed you're currently on R62.16, which is not the latest release. As a first step, I recommend updating to the latest version, R63.19, to see if that helps resolve what you're experiencing.
You can update by going to Help > Check for Updates in Quicken. If that option doesn’t offer the update, you can manually download and install the latest patch from this support article.
Let us know how it goes after updating! If the issue persists, we can dig in further.

Hi Quicken Anja. I wanted to follow up. I tried once more before I left and still had the problem so I used the "Report a Problem" to send my files. When I came back I tried once more before updating Quicken and had to reauthorize all my EWC+ account. When I tried again the problem seems to have been resolve. It's been working fine for the last 3 days. So, it looks like it might have been a server problem. In any event Quicken is working now. Thanks for the help.
