Specific Annuity index tracking

I have a Nationwide Annuity. I have selected the "SGMACRO" index for pseudo investing… My question is how to have Quicken retrieve the daily "NAV" which is available under the ticker SGMACRO on Bloomberg and MSN. I could just manually enter the NAV daily, but was hoping to have Quicken do it for me through update?

Thanks

If you can find a site that offers a download of the SGMACRO index quotes in CSV format, you could create a security for it in Quicken, then download the prices and manipulate the file in Excel to put it in a Quicken compatible format, then import the prices to Quicken. See this discussion for more information.

Jim: That is probably more monkeying around than its worth. Just manually writing dow the quote and entering it into Quicken would be much easier. What my main question really dealt with was why the SGMACRO ticker is not seen in Quicken when it is on Bloomberg and MSN?

Quicken gets their quote data from a 3rd party and although there are several SGI indexes on the list, the Macro Compass is apparently not one of them. If you go to Add Security and type SGI then select the Indices tab, you will see a list.

If you want that index added to the list, you would have to contact Quicken Support and ask for it. I would not hold my breath.

    Thank you. I'm breathing well!
