Cleared balance does not agree with chase?

Sometimes it's as large as $8000. Currently I have adjusted my balance from April. When I reconcile for the month of May it's off $1000 (Round umbers). I have had this problem off an on for years. It's become such a frustration I'm considering dropping Quicken. I have been using Quicken for a very long time.

    Are there pending transactions involved that are included in Q's balance but not Chase's online balance (or vice versa)?

    Currently I have adjusted my balance from April.

    Why, other than because it was off? Did Quicken by chance change your account's Opening Balance?

    Making any adjustment to an account is a mistake if you don't know exactly why.
