Wondering if anyone on Windows 11 platform has encountered this problem - not specific to Quicken.
Solution:
This discussion was closed but I found the solution so I hope you don't mind me posting it again since other Quicken users encountered the same problem.
Original PostSomething changed and I don't think it is a Quicken problem but it appears in Quicken and Microsoft Word, Excel, etc. Perhaps, someone encountered the problem and knows how to fix it.
In Quicken, when I move the mouse cursor to the ribbon (HOME SPEND BILLS & INCOME …) it turns from an arrow to a BRIGHT WHITE hand ( with index finger raised). Bright enough to startle you. (It occurs in other places as well.)
I think it began after an update from Microsoft or a BIOS update from Samsung. Just wondering if someone else has encountered this and knows the solution. Unfortunately, it reverts to normal brightness when I take a screenshot or video of the screen, so it is difficult to show.
I would appreciate any thoughts.
Solution
Thank you for the proposed solutions.
I tracked this problem down and got a response from the Microsoft Community.
The problem goes away if you set 'Display Point Trails' on the 'Pointer Options' tab in 'Mouse Properties'. I hate pointer trails so I set it to Short. Obviously, this is just a band-aid, but it works. I can take my sunglasses off. lol.

@FredArthur thank you for following up with this. I changed my settings and it works perfectly. I agree about pointer trails, so I set it to short so it's not as "disruptive".
Just so other users can get easily get to the settings, here is the path -
Control Panel→Mouse→Mouse Properties→Pointer Options→Display pointer trails
another way to get to the setting is -
Accessibility→Mouse pointer and touch→Mouse pointer trails
