Want to show available income only

I'm using Classic Quicken on a Win11 Pro box.

I'm trying to determine my annual available income only from by brokerage account (Non-IRA). The available income is received in the form of dividend and interest income from investment instruments that are NOT reinvested. Reinvested income is NOT readily available since one would have to sell off some of the investment to receive it. The non-reinvested income is parked in a money market account and is readily available.

This has nothing to do with what's taxable or not taxable. It's strictly what's easily available, disposable income.

When I set up a report and select the account and categories I want shown, there appears no way to not include the reinvested dividends and interest.

Is there any way to not include the reinvested dividends and interest in the report?

Thanks,

Vic

Try using the report at Reports > Investing > Investment Transactions. Set the date range to Year to date. Click on the gear to customize the report. Select just the brokerage account and on the Actions tab, select Div.

This should select just the dividends that were received in cash, not those that were reinvested.

If your reinvestments are recorded as two transactions, Div and Bought, you could select just the money market fund in the brokerage account and select Bought on the Actions tab.

Please let us know if this works for you, or if not, why not.

    Jim_Harman,

Thanks. That appears to give me what I'm looking for.

Altho, note: In the categories drop down menu I had to select (_DivInc) and (_IntInc)
