How can this be?
Reconciling a credit card. There is a payment from my checking account. It is/was not cleared. My reconciliation balanced. I'm like, 'dude, what is this?'. So, I select matching transfer and it goes to my checking account, but…. it's not there. It does not exist in my Quicken register, nor my bank online register.
Thoughts?

@gt00tx - you don't mention what troubleshooting steps you have tried so far, but I think the first thing to do is a data file validate and super validate.
File → Validate and Repair File, then select "Validate file". Then check the validate log for any error messages.
To do a Super Validate, hold Ctrl-Shift while clicking on "Validate and Repair File".
The other thing to try is delete the transaction. Make a backup of your data file first, just in case.

Thanks. I didn't do anything.. I'd just as soon delete
it but I will try the validate and repair.

OK, I did the validate and fix. It found one transaction that had a bad date and changed it to the current date. I went back and changed it to a proper date. It found nothing with the transaction noted in my original post.
It found four other 'unresolvable' error transactions (pic below) in a savings account I don't use much and don't reconcile often. As I look at these transactions, they seem to be duplicates of other transactions in a credit card account, in Mar and Apr over a year ago, and were reconciled in those accounts.
It is as if Quicken download them to the wrong account back then. I don't recall, but I probably had reconcile issues and had to manually enter those transactions in their appropriate accounts. Wondering if this is a spurious problem, that Quicken downloads transactions to two accounts or the wrong account on rare occasions?

@gt00tx I think the best thing to do is pull statements if they are available and reconcile the affected accounts. It seems like your data file might have suffered some corruption, but how or why is the question.
You might also want to consider making a copy of your data file using Quicken's copy file process. You will need to reactivate online connections for all your accounts.
- Make a backup of your data file. Also, make backups during this process, just in case you need to go back a step.
- Do a Quicken "Copy File" to create a copy of your data file. This process forces a rewrite of code and fixes some file corruption issues. It will also clear out online connection "remnants" for all accounts. Click on File → Copy or Backup File, and select "Create a copy or template", and then click Next.
- On the next screen, leave the defaults as is. You can change the new file name and location, if you wish. Click on "Save Copy".
- During the copy process, you will be asked to provide a password for the new file. If you don't want a password, hit ESC.
- When the process completes, switch over to the new data file (copy).
- Reactivate online services for all accounts in the new data file, by using “Add Account” (do not use “Set up now” on the Online Services tab of Account Details) and carefully link to existing accounts in Quicken.
