This account has had a zero balance since early last fall and all the sudden I have a positive balance on this this credit card according to Quicken Classic. I went to the bank website to verifiy and it indeed still has a zero balance. What gives?

My first suggestion is to click on the Date column header to make sure the account register is sorted by date correctly.

If the account balance issue remains: Have you done anything to change the account's download connection, such as, Reset Account, Deactivate/Reactivate, Reauthorize, Add Account or Set Up Now. If so, check the Opening Balance dollar amount to see if it has been changed. You can read more about this issue in this Support Article: https://www.quicken.com/support/why-did-my-opening-balance-change-after-changing-ewc-quicken-windows/ .

Another possible cause: Sometimes while making a change (such as mentioned in the previous paragraph) there will be duplicate transactions entered into the account register. Scroll through the register and if any duplicates are found delete one of them and retain the other. If there are any duplicates, they will likely appear within the last 90 days.
