Incorrect Stock/fund values being downloaded

I'm not sure where Quicken is getting it's data from for stock quotes.

But my quicken is showing a quote for 7/9/25 for EFAV as current value (per unit) of:

$206,808.391

Google/Schwab/etc. show EFAV as being about $83/share currently

If I look at the "holding" data, Whatever aggregator Quicken uses shows the hundreds of thousands of dollar increase on what appears to be 5/23/25, which is incorrect

I will clarify that the stocks in question are in a "manual" account in Quicken Classic Deluxe. So I know for a fact they are not coming from the IRA administrator. Even if I do a manual "update stock price" it still claims as of 7/8/25, the price is $207,632.07

A few things to check:

In the Security List, is EFAV set up with the correct ticker and security type?
Go to Tools > Security List, locate EFAV, and confirm that:
- The ticker is exactly “EFAV”
- “Download Quotes” is checked
- Security Type is set to ETF or Mutual Fund (not “Other” or custom)
Are there any duplicates of EFAV in the Security List?
Quicken will still download quotes if multiple securities share the same ticker, and it won’t always apply them to the correct one — especially in manual accounts. You’ll want to clean that up if they exist.
Now open the Security Detail View for EFAV and click the More dropdown > Edit Price History. Look at the entry for 5/23/25 — is that where the inflated price first appears?
If so, delete that price point and any others that are clearly wrong. This doesn’t affect cost basis or transactions, just the price chart and value display.
When you manually update prices, are you using Tools > Security Prices or clicking “Update” in the Investing tab?
Either way, if the price is still pulling in as $207K+, then it’s almost certainly an error from the quote provider. Quicken’s price feed can occasionally push corrupted data, especially for low-volume or foreign ETFs.
Do you have Real-time Quotes enabled?
Go to Edit > Preferences > Investing and check whether that box is turned on. It’s optional but could be introducing stray after-hours data. Worth toggling it off to see if it changes the result.

Hi Jasmine.

Everything was set correctly.

I believe I found a fix, but not sure what the ultimate cause was.

The stock was manually added by me by looking up the ticket symbol and adding it into Quicken. So Quicken DID see the stock symbol and you can see from the screenshot i uploaded that it USED to download the correct price.

Here's where it gets weird:

Even though it DID track in Quicken, when I went into the stock symbol details, etc. Quicken said it was an invalid stock symbol and asked if I wanted to manually add the stock symbol (note that this is different than manually adding a stock in a portfolio that's not online enabled).

So I then had to search Quicken's list of known stock symbols at which point it decided to change the symbol/company and now it's accurately tracking.

I have NO idea why Quicken suddenly changed things (I don't believe that the stock symbol ever changed—at least from what I can find on Schwab's website, although I do know that this sometimes happens in real-life).
