Report Showing Average
Be able to produce a report similar to the Cash Flow but have it show based on the actual utilization the average inflows and average outflows per month. This is a trending analysis that is an extremely value aspect for projections. It would be an excellent trending analysis and projection information tool for retirement aspects based on empirical information.

That's a great idea, and would make it possible to compare trends over different periods of time, pre retirement vs post retirement, etc.

Good idea but have the per month time period be changeable since big purchase, big expense might make monthly averages too high, so could do yearly for example.

@davis.mc Have you tried the report at Reports > Spending > Current Spending vs. Average Spending by Category?
By default it only includes Expense Categories, but you can click on the gear at the top right and customize it to include income. Income is shown as negative numbers and unfortunately there is no way to make separate subtotals of income and expenses.
Also some of the comparison options give overlapping time periods, such as Last month compared to Last 6 months, which currently would be June compared to Jan - June. I think if you choose a "Last" period it should compare to the previous X months, like June compared to Dec - May.
For some reason I was not able to get the report to include investing income Categories like _DivInc and _RlzdGain.
Please give it a try and let us know what you think.
