Report by Credit Card Cycle

My credit card cycle runs from the 6th of the month to the 5th of the next month.

For example, my current credit card bill is for purchases from June 6th to July 5th.

I would like to be able to run a report so that each column would be credit card cycle.

I can understand why this might be useful, but there are complications when cycles begin or end on the 29th, 30th, or 31st of a month, and sometimes if the cycle begins or ends on a weekend or holiday.

How do you think the report should handle these situations?

As currently programmed, there is no such capability.

Seems to me there could also be questions about transaction date vs posted date or cleared date. Such a report would likely be seen as applicable to either bank accounts and credit card accounts and different expectations could apply.

I suppose if you were especially determined to group transactions by credit card cycle you could use Tags.
