How can I open a very old Quicken file without signing in to Quicken?
I have some old archived Quicken files going back as far as 2003. When I try to open, say my 2004-2008 archive, I see that it successfully upgraded the file, and I briefly see the opening screen, but then it asks me to sign into Quicken. Some of the archived accounts are still in use, and the last thing I want to do is confuse the online sync of my data. Is there a way to view the files without signing in? Really just want to see transaction registers. Thanks.

No, you can't look at the transactions without logging into the Quicken Id. But on the other hand, I think you might be worried about something that will not happen.
Logging into the Quicken Id to get the file open and look at Quicken shouldn't do anything "online" like update transactions unless you do something like One Step Update. And given that you are talking about such an old data file, it probably wouldn't even be able to connect if you tried.
The logging into the Quicken Id is really just making sure that your Quicken Subscription is valid.
