I have been running Quicken 2000 on an XP for years and love that version. My 3rd XP died and having problems finding another. Any suggestions?
@dyrrab IMHO, if you love Quicken 2000, I think you would love the current subscription of Quicken Windows Classic, even better. I would check it out or even check out Quicken Simplifi.
Why not support Quicken with a subscription? Doing so will benefit yourself and everyone.
As for still using Windows XP, it is your choice, but in my opinion it is unwise to do so. It puts you and your data at risk.
You are right about the support but I just need it for personal bookkeeping. If I were to go to a newer version, how would I convert the data. I keep getting mixed guidances.
Thanks,
Note it is possible to stop at Quicken 2013 Deluxe, which is the last truly offline version of Quicken.
@dyrrab to convert your Quicken 2000 data to the current version of Quicken Classic, you'll need to go through a multi-step process using intermediate versions.
Step-by-Step Conversion Path (from Copilot)
Step 1: Convert from Quicken 2000 to Quicken 2004
Step 2: Convert from Quicken 2004 to Quicken 2013
Step 3: Install the Current Version of Quicken
Important Notes
@dyrrab I just saw that @Chris_QPW posted the Quicken Support article on converting from older version of Quicken. I just wanted to say to make sure to read that article. That article has more details on the process.
