Ending Balance in Fidelity Account Not Correct
In my Quicken Windows file I have a Fidelity account that shows a current balance of $85,765.65. That is correct. When I ask it to show the ending (projected) balance, it is suddenly $82,043.65- $3722 less. There are no planned transaction in the account. When I look at the Portfolio screen, it says the market value is $85,765.65- the correct amount.
I should also note, when I check Fidelity's web page, that higher amount is the correct amount.
To add to this mystery, when I look at my Quicken for Mac (yes, I run both programs), it shows the correct amount for both current and ending balances- as they are the same amount.
Where could Quicken Windows be finding some decrease of $3722 coming from this account in the future when there is none?
For the other Fidelity Accounts in my file, everything is fine. It is just this one account that has some phantom expense hiding somewhere.

You may want to check to see if you have any securities with prices for a future date. You can do this a few different ways. Best is probably by looking at the Holdings for the account and go out to a future date (maybe try a month out to start). If you see a difference in your total market value on that date then check which security (or securities) are different. If you see a security with a different market value than the current market value check the price history and delete any future prices.
Just a thought. I have seen this happen before.

Also, in QWin, do you hold any cash, or money market funds, in the Fidelity account?
Do you use, in QWin, the "Show Cash in a Checking account" option? If so, have you checked that checking account to see if that's where the problem is?
Frequently, when one changes the download method in QWin (say, from Direct Connect to Express Web Connect+), the opening balance in the checking component get screwed up. Which is why it's recommended that the correct Opening Balance be recorded in the memo field of the Opening Balance transaction so that, when this is the cause, the correct amount can quickly be determined.
IF the above isn't your situation, have you compared Q's Portfolio dialog to Fidelity online, security by security, to see if you can narrow down the issue?
