Fidelity : Quicken duplicates account total for Checking-type accounts

This happens on two of my checking accounts, but not on a recently created one. Fidelity shows the deposits both as Cash, and as a balance in banks, and adds them together for account balance. The transactions view is correct and shows the correct balance.

Is there a work-around? The recently created account shows Cash, but not the securities/bank deposits.

(If this is a duplicate, please merge, but I didn't see precisely this issue)

Hello @George Hetrick,

Thank you for letting us know you're seeing this issue. The issue you're reporting looks very similar to the known issue with inconsistent handling of Money Market Funds (CTP-13955). Does Fidelity treat these deposits like Money Market Funds on their end?

You should be able to work around the issue by backing up your file, then adding transactions to zero out either the holdings or the cash balance (making sure to include a note or memo to explain why). However, you would likely have to do this with every download until the issue is resolved.
