Oportun formally none as Digit savings

Hello,

I’ve been a Quicken user for years and also use Oportun (formerly Digit) for my automated savings goals. However, I’ve noticed that Oportun does not support direct downloads or syncing with Quicken.

Since Oportun is a legitimate financial institution that holds customer funds, I’m surprised there’s no way to link it into Quicken (via Express Web Connect, Direct Connect, or even manual QFX downloads). This forces me to either track it manually or leave my savings activity outside of Quicken, which defeats the purpose of having everything in one place.

Can someone from Quicken (or another user who has solved this) explain:

1. Why Oportun/Digit accounts are not available in the Financial Institution list.
2. If there are any current workarounds (CSV/QFX imports, third-party converters).
3. Whether there are plans to add Oportun/Digit as a supported institution in the future.

This seems like a growing gap given the popularity of automated savings apps. Any guidance would be appreciated.

I'd never heard of Opoortun so I asked Google if it linked to Quicken and got this answer:

No, Oportun does not have a direct connection with Quicken, and you cannot automatically download transactions directly from Oportun into Quicken. However, you may be able to manually import transactions by downloading a QFX file from the Oportun website and then importing it into your Quicken software.  To import transactions into Quicken:

Log in: to your Oportun account. 

• Locate: your transaction history and select the option to download it. 

• Choose: the QFX file format if available. 

• Open: Quicken and navigate to the relevant account. 

• Import: the QFX file by using the "Import transactions from Bank website" option or by dragging and dropping the downloaded file. 

You may also find recent discussions on the Quicken community forum about connection issues and potential workarounds for Oportun (formerly known as Digit).

As to your questions:

1. Financial Institutions decide if they want to link to Quicken or not. It's not Quicken's decision. You might talk to Qportun directly to see if they are aware of Quicken in the first place, and if they have any thoughts or plans to allow for downloads
2. I know of no workarounds, obviously, but maybe somebody else does.
3. Quicken doesn't really share any "plans" in here and maybe they've approached Oportun without success. The best way to make downloading available is if a bunch of Quicken users start making that demand to Oportun.
