Fidelity CMA account downloading Core/Settlement Fund SPAXX Buy/Sell transactions
When I download transactions for Fidelity CMA account, it's downloading all the Buy and Sell transactions for my core/settlement fund SPAXX. It looks like for others, SPAXX transactions are not treated as security purchases/sales (example), which is what I want, but that's not how it works for me.
Here are my settings:
- Quicken Deluxe for Windows
- Connected to Fidelity CMA account using Direct Connect.
- Financial institution is "zzz-Fidelity Investments - DC".
- I have "Show cash in a checking account" set to "Yes"
- Quicken's Preferences > Downloaded transactions > "Never interpret downloaded Money Market funds as cash" is not checked.
On Fidelity.com > Activity & Orders > More filters, I had the "View settlements in money market funds" enabled. Could that be why Fidelity has been sending Buy/Sell transactions for SPAXX?

Why have you chosen to NOT "Show cash in a checking account" for your CMA?
Turning that on should eliminate your issue.

That option is set to "Yes" already (I edited my original post to make it more clear).

I am having the same issue for 2 of my 5 Fidelity accounts. I have compared the setup between all five and can find no difference. The impact is minor as the downloaded dividend transaction comes in a reinvestment of the MM and not just an regular cash dividend to add to my cash balance. Any ideas?

Even with Fidelity.com > Activity & Orders > More filters > "View settlements in money market funds" disabled, Quicken is still downloading transactions for my Core funds. Not sure why Quicken is downloading Core fund transactions. This is happening for both my CMA account as well as my 401k BrokerageLink account.
This is what's shown under Account Details for the CMA account:
And this is for 401k BrokerageLink:
Not sure why it begins with "zzz-". Is this normal?
