Hello @Greyhavens ,
Thanks for reaching out!
I’ve reviewed your account and don’t see any errors occurring internally for your Schwab connection. To better understand and troubleshoot the issue, could you please elaborate on exactly what is happening with your accounts? Additionally, please provide answers to the following:
- Where is your Quicken data file stored? Is it on your local hard drive (C: Drive) or a cloud-based/external drive (e.g., OneDrive, DropBox, USB, etc.)?
- Have you attempted any troubleshooting steps so far? If so, what were they?
- Are you using a VPN while updating your accounts? If so, does disabling it make any difference?
- Do you have any antivirus or malware protection software running that could interfere with Quicken? If so, have you tried temporarily disabling it to see if the issue persists?
- When did this issue first start occurring?
- Were there any significant changes to your system or software before the issue began (updates, new installations, etc.)?
Your answers will help us narrow down the cause and provide the most effective guidance.
Thank you!

I have to reauthorize my accounts in Schwab every time I update. When I do that, I get a message on Quicken that says to "not add accounts to Quicken"

1)Data File is stored on my computer
2)I deleted and restored all of my Schwab accounts
3) no vpn and I turned off my anti-virus software
4) problem started about 6 weeks ago and I have not updated any software

@Greyhavens Thank you for providing the details about your Schwab connection issue. Based on what you described, the repeated reauthorization prompt and the message advising not to add accounts are often caused by a misalignment between Quicken and Schwab’s third-party access settings. To resolve this, please follow these steps:
- Deactivate All Schwab Accounts in Quicken
- Follow the instructions in this support article for deactivating accounts.
- Unlink Accounts Directly via Schwab Website
- Log in to your Schwab account.
- Click Profile (top right corner).
- Select Security Settings.
- Scroll to the bottom to Third-Party Access to Account Information.
- Remove/unlink Quicken access for all accounts.
- Reactivate/Reauthorize Accounts in Quicken
- Return to Quicken and follow the steps in this support article to reactivate your Schwab accounts.
- Verify that each account updates successfully without prompting for reauthorization again.
Let us know how it goes!
