Payees & Rules: Jump to renaming? QuickFill: set amt to blank?

I've been cleaning up and making corrections. So after I hide a bunch of Payee names, I may be left with just one I want to use (e.g. Amazon.com). Then I'd like to create renaming rules for Amazon.com. I haven't found a way, with this selected Payee, to jump straight to renaming tab for this very Payee, so I have to find the Payee all over again. Am I missing an easier wa to do this? Or is there a reaon this isn't the typical workflow?

For the Payee, I want to set up the QuickFills. Here, the only problem I've run into so far is setting the amout to blank, rather than 0.00. I find it is possible - position at the leftmost character which may be a negative sign or a 0, and DEL the characters to the right, leaving the decimal point plus cents. Then position cursor at the right side of the number string and using backspace key, remove them right to left. Is there are more graceful way to do this? Is there any reason why 0.00 would be referable to blank?

An observation: if a Payee also has one or more Rules or one or more QuickFills defined, you can click on either of those counts, and it takes you to the existing Rules or QuickFills. The way it gets there is by putting a search at the top of those pages, to find the existing entries.

I guess what I'm asking for, then, is a way to jump to Renaming or QuickFill for a Payee that has no rules or quickfills yet defined. For instance, right-click on Payee might present choices depending on the existing Rules and QuickFills:

(If no renaming rules) "Do you want to create the first Renaming Rule for this Payee?"

(If there are renaming rules) "Do you want to add to or edit the existing Renaming Rules for this Payee?"

(If there are no QuickFills) "Do you want to create the first QuickFill for this Payee?"

(If there are QuickFills) "Do you want to add to or edit the existing QuickFills for this Payee?"

When there are none and the user answers yes, a basic one would be created that needs to be completed.

When there are some and the user answers yes, the existing list of Rules or QuickFills is simply displayed (similar to how it is now when clicking on one of the counts).

You can Control-click on a transaction and select "Save QuickFill rule" from the pop-up menu. But there isn't a similar command to "Save Renaming Rule". I think that's because the Payee name on a transaction might be the name you want to change from or the name you want to change to, and Quicken has no idea. A QuickFill rule is ties to an existing Payee name, but a Renaming rule is not.

I think if you're going to be doing this a lot, the best method is to remember the keyboard shortcut for the Window > Payee & Rules screen: Command-Shift-E, making it just two clicks to land on the Renaming Rules window.
