Having to reset my accounts every time I do a download.

For the last two months I have had numerous problems with Quicken. For some reason every time I download my accounts for updates the numbers never match. I have had to reset most of my accounts several times to get the numbers to match. It happened again this morning, Transactions I have entered disappear, new entries appear for no reason. I am very disgusted. I purchased this and renewed it every year to save time with my finances. My renewal is up soon and I am strongly going to be looking for another budgeting app. You have a very short time to get this resolved or I won't be renewing.

    I’m sorry to hear how frustrating this has been. I can definitely understand how discouraging it must feel to have to constantly reset your accounts.

    To get a clearer picture and figure out what’s going on, could you share a bit more detail? Please provide the following details:

    • Which financial institution(s) are affected?
    • Where is your Quicken data file stored? Is it saved directly on your computer’s hard drive, or is it on something like OneDrive, Dropbox, an external/USB drive, etc.?
    • Have you already tried any troubleshooting steps? If so, what have you tried?
    • Do you use a VPN when updating your accounts, and if so, does turning it off change anything?
    • Are you running any antivirus or anti-malware software that could be interfering, and have you tried temporarily disabling it to see if that makes a difference?
    • When did this first start happening, and were there any major changes on your system or Quicken right before it began (like an update or a new installation)?

    The more we know, the better we can help narrow down whether this is something specific to your setup or part of a larger issue.
