A Major Design Flaw - Changing Bank Passwords is Time Consuming in Quicken [Edited]

Banks encourage us to change our passwords regularly. Quicken disagrees with all of our banks and most Tech experts, as they discourage changing passwords. How?

Glad you asked. Every time I change my bank password, I have to deactivate and reactivate each of my accounts. Now, I have 13 accounts, and that process is very time-consuming.

Now, if I had a choice of deactivating single accounts or all of the accounts at the same time, I could accept this process. I am not sure they will do this, or find another way that does not waste my time with busywork.

I know that I will NOT RENEW if this design flaw that wastes my time is not changed.

You have 13 accounts at the same bank and each time you change your bank PW you deactivate and the reactivate each account separately? Yes, that would be quite time consuming.

But you do not need to do it that way. You do need to deactivate each of the accounts but then if you do Add Account or Set Up Now you can apply the same set up process one time for all 13 accounts.

Or am I misunderstanding your concern?

Banks may encourage you to change your PW regularly, but banks are wrong. If you use a password manager, have a unique password for each and every bank, a password that is over 20 random characters long, that's safer IMO than changing a short password regularly. As long as your passwords are long, secure, and unique, used on one and only one website, and if you're using public WiFi then you use VPN to connect to your banks, then the only time you should need to change that password is when the bank suffers their own data breach, or your computer system is compromised.
