Rearrange Positions in Brokerage
I'm using QMac Version 8.3.1 (Build 803.58866.100) on MacOS 15.6.1.
I have a number of positions (equities and ETF's) in a brokerage account. The positions seem ordered randomly, not alphabetically or even in the order they were added. I'd like to be able to reorder the positions, grouping them logically (at least so they seem logical to me). I can now do this with accounts in the left column, I'd like the same ability with positions within brokerages.
Ideally I'd also like to be able to create groups of positions within a brokerage, each group with its own totals shown at the bottom of the group.
Are these features somehow possible now? If not then I'd like to make it a suggestion if there is anyone else out there who would find it useful.
Thanks!

Just to make sure I'm understanding are you on the Portfolio screen, with the filters set to Portfolio Value or Performance By Security? The order of securities can be alphabetical by Name or Symbol; just click on the Name or Symbol column heading. But you can't create custom groups and subtotals of securities as you describe.

Sorry for the delayed response, I appreciate your answer.
Yes you understand my question. I would like to create custom groupings of equities in my portfolio. Perhaps I'll make it a suggestion to our hardworking Quicken staff. I don't know if this would be useful to anyone else.

@R Strax Yes, go ahead and create a new Idea topic in the Product Ideas section. I don't think I recall this being suggested before. At first I thought this wouldn't be useful for me, but then I realized I'd prefer to make my Quicken Portfolio view match the way my brokerage reports holdings, with mutual funds & ETFs separated from individual stock holdings. So I'd vote for this!

@R Strax I liked this concept enough that I went ahead and created a new Idea thread for it. Anyone who would like to see Quicken Mac allow users to create custom groups within the investment Portfolio view should add their vote for this Idea so it might reach the developers for consideration:
Click View Post above to visit the thread, and add your vote in the yellow box under the first post.

Thank you for your support and for creating a new idea thread @Jacobs. It's got my vote 😃.
