Marking downloaded transactions as Reconciled instead of Cleared

Hi, one of my accounts, a credit card account, but only one account, has downloaded transactions marked as Reconciled after the download process is completed. All my other accounts mark the downloaded transactions as Cleared; and that's the way I like it. In the Account Details/Online Services tab I have unchecked the "Reconcile using online balance" box, just like in my other accounts of all kinds. And yet it does it anyway. How do I undo that marking so that the transactions are just marked as Cleared NOT Reconciled?

Thanks for taking the time to reach out and tell us about this issue!

To fix downloaded transactions being marked as Reconciled instead of Cleared in that account, please try adjusting the reconcile settings in the account register:

1. Open the register for the affected account.
2. Click the gear icon at the top-right of the register and select Reconcile.
3. If prompted, choose Reconcile without downloading and click OK.
4. On the next screen, under the Online Balance section, uncheck the two boxes there. Especially the 2nd box titled Auto reconcile downloaded transactions.

Thanks. Only the 2nd block was checked, and I'm not sure why that account was so configured. But I never would have looked there since I don't use the Reconcile function. I will report back later if it doesn't fix the problem. Thanks again.

Thanks for the update! It sounds like that “Auto reconcile downloaded transactions” box being checked was causing the issue, even if you don’t normally use the Reconcile function. Hopefully, unchecking it fixes the problem.
