TIAA Traditional

When executing a transaction update by way of direct connect, the following occurs as it relates to TIAA Traditional:

Status Date Action Security Description

New 9/12/2025 Stk Split TIAA Traditional 100 for 100 split

After reconciliation, the number of shares are off (yesterday 14.14, today 21.63). I would like to know if anyone else experiences this and if there is a manual way to keep the account in balance with TIAA's data? Finally, has anyone called TIAA to see what is going on?

Thanks,

John

For me, what annoyingly happens with each TIAA Traditional download is that I receive a Shares added transaction for zero shares. When I accept it, this dialog appears

I keep the default of Shares added and when I click on Done, Quicken reports a Securities Comparison Mismatch of XX.yy shares. I click on Done, then edit the Added transaction to be a ReinvDiv of XX.yy shares at a share price of $1.00

What appears to have happened in your case is that you chose the third option, changing the Added to a StkSplit.

You should delete the StkSplit and enter a ReinvDiv for 21.63 - 14.14 or $7.49 at a price of $1.00.

To avoid having to deal with this each time I do a One Step Update, I exclude TIAA from the OSU settings and do an Update Transactions from the account's gear menu at the beginning of each month.

Ok, thanks I will give this a try. I do not recall seeing the above "Record Downloaded Shares" dialogue box the last time but, will look for it the next time. Doing a once-a-month update sounds like a good idea.
