Manually adding a bitcoin to track question?
I have been trying to track bitcoin in Quicken Classic Mac for years, at this point, the security appears to be "seen" by Quicken, but when I link to my Coinbase account it refuses to download my holdings. This has been going on for years.
I thought I might as well add the holdings manually as it is just a few transactions, this was the only solution I could find and looking for guidance on better ideas or ways to make this work.
The only bitcoin related symbol I can find that Quickin acknowledges is: Bloomberg Galaxy Bitcoin Index symbol INDEX:BITCOIN. I added that to the securities, but since you cannot add an INDEX transaction, I created it using the "other" category. Also it is an index and its value is not the same as BTC
Has anyone found a way to track BITCOIN in Quicken Mac Classic (a question that has been asked many times I know) that involves manually inputting your transactions?
