Can we go back?

Features that used to work but aren't now - biggest is for me is bill payment integration. Used to be when you reconciled an account you'd get a popup question if you'd like to schedule payment for the bill? And the bill would be entered on a pop-up. I no longer use Quicken for electronic payments because my credit rating was threatened by its error rates (multiple payments on some accounts, ignoring payments on others).

And making downloads work once and only once. I'm getting retroactive entries on downloads that are messing up account balances and reconciliations (e.g. balance as of beginning of statement.)

I could go on….

Multiple downloads of the same transaction are almost always caused by a change in the download method, say from Direct Connect to Express Web Connect or any other such change.

That can happen because the FI, not Q, is supposed to assign a "Financial Institution Transaction ID" to every transaction and when Q sees a duplicated FITID it ignores the dupe.

BUT, all too frequently, a change in download method results in a different FITID being assigned … so Q has no way of knowing that it's a dupe. And, Q can't fix this.

Regarding Online Bills, Q's previous provider got out of that business, so Q had to find a new provider. And the new provider doesn't currently cover as many billers as did the previous provider. New provider is working to expand the list, but it will take time and there's no telling when any particular biller will be included.

It's also a change in the download method, or "resetting" an account, that sometimes causes the Opening Balance in an account to be changed. Q is aware of the problem, but because it's sporadic they haven't yet been able to nail down the cause. The recommendation for this is to post the CORRECT amount in the memo field of that Opening Balance transaction so that if it happens again it will be easy to spot and you'll immediately know what the correct amount should be.

With all that said, yes you can go back to a prior release of Q, but it really won't remedy the issues that you've referenced.
