Why doesn't Quicken always place deposits before payments when made on the same day?

This is a personal irritation, but I don't like to see the RED negative balances when I know I deposited funds to cover a payment. When deposit is made on the same day as a payment why wouldn't be default to move deposits before payments instead of momentarily showing the dreaded RED balance? I have tried entering the deposit before the payment, and also entering the payment before the deposit, but I often see the deposit showing after the payment.

Also, just in case you weren't aware, you can rearrange the transactions on a given day just by dragging them. This only works if the register is sorted by date.
