How can I import files from my financial institutions without categories

Question

I just started using quicken and have uploaded data on 15 accounts but the categories assigned are not what I want.  How can I upload files and not have categories assigned?  [Quicken Classic Deluxe]

Already answered in your other discussion.

If you don't want Quicken to automatically categorize downloaded transactions based on its built-in list of Payees,, de-select that option and/or remove the Category from the corresponding entry in the Memorized Payee List.
