Quicken Updates Will Not Install Unless . . . .

Windows 10 PC

Quicken Classic Business & Personal, R64.29, Build 27.1.64.29

I cannot install Quicken updates unless I close Quicken and restart using "Run as Administrator," which the program warns me not to do. Quickenpatch.exe will not "Run as Administrator" by itself. It seems to work fine, but I am wondering if this indicates a bigger problem with my Quicken installation.

    Hello @wrnoof,

Thank you for your question. I can totally understand being concerned that what you are seeing could be an indication of a bigger issue.

To clarify, what happens when Quicken tries to update without you doing all the extra steps? Adding a screenshot of what you are seeing could be helpful as well. If needed, please refer to this Community FAQ for instructions on how to attach a screenshot. Alternatively, you can also drag and drop screenshots to your response if you are not given the option to add attachments.

    Thank you.
