Reauthorization

Doing this the first time it popped up a week ago when I tried to update my file really screwed up my file. So I dumped the file and restored a backup and avoided doing the reauthorization.

Then I get a notice that Quicken has an update that fixes this problem. So dummy me believes it and does the update then tried the reauthorization again. My file was FUBAR again.

When it comes to reauthorization, I'll be checking the block "remind me next time" until it's not there any more. Then I'm not sure what I will do. Probably look for an alternative to Quicken. I can't figure out how to make all the manual changes to fix the problem.

Have you tried validating before you update the program software? You may have a corrupt data file.

    Hello @captndick,

Thank you for sharing your experience — I’m really sorry to hear your file got messed up after trying the reauthorization.

To better understand what’s going on — what exactly are you seeing happen? Are transactions missing, balances off, or something else?

Any additional detail you can share would really help in figuring out what might’ve gone wrong. Screenshots can be helpful too. If needed, please refer to this Community FAQ for instructions on how to attach a screenshot. Alternatively, you can also drag and drop screenshots to your response if you are not given the option to add attachments.

    Thank you!
