Workaround for Chase URL problem?
I downloaded transactions from a Chase into my Quicken for Windows checking account register almost daily for many years without issues. Last week, when I tried the download, the program hung up on the Update screen and I had to use Task Manager to terminate it. I deactivated the online access and then tried to reestablish it. Quicken took me to a Chase login screen using a very lengthy URL with references to Quicken and Intuit, etc. When I used my Chase username, it wasn't recognized on that particular Chase login screen, even though I can use it directly by going to chase.com.
I called both Quicken support and Chase and tried a bunch of things, including changing default browsers, adding a new account, and creating an entirely new file, but none changed the outcome. Not surprisingly, Chase says it's a Quicken problem and vice-versa.
If you've encountered this, I'd be truly grateful to know how to fix it. Thanks.

When you reconnected, did it give you the Chase - New option?

Problem solved! Per a suggestion from Quicken support, I logged onto chase.com directly in my browser, then opened Quicken and selected the account online setup, and Quicken and the already opened chase.com communicated and established the connection for downloading from my Chase accounts. The Chase login screen that wouldn't recognize my username was bypassed.
