Coinbase Crypto Prices All Wrong

I've been fighting this issue with Quicken since May - it was "escalated" to the Office of the President, I was been bounced around to half a dozen people, and then my ticket was "closed" (without my approval) and now I have zero way of continuing to follow up... so, hopefully someone here can help since customer support on the phone has been nothing but a wast of time and, as I said, I have spent MONTHS fighting this same issue.

Coinbase (connected through the automated Account integration) continuously reports the wrong values for Crypto securities, especially Bitcoin. From what I can tell, Quicken automatically matches the symbol to a regular stock and not its crypto counterpart. I've tested with a Crypto account in Robinhood, too, and have the same problem.

For example:

  • BTC goes to the "Grayscale Bitcoin Mini Trust ETF"
  • VET (vechain) goes to "Vermilion Energy Inc."
  • ETH (Ethereum) goes "Grayscale Ethereum Mini Trust ETF"

The only workaround I've found so far is to edit the individual security details and change the symbol to "^BTCUSD" or "^VETUSDT". However, there are quite a few where the crpyto-counterpart doesn't even appear in the "symbol lookup" list so there's no way to connect it to the correct coin.

However, even the workaround doesn't work. No matter how many times I change "BTC" to "^BTCUSD" it just reverts right back to BTC and is causing all sorts of issues with my balances and reconciled amounts..

I'm beyond frustrated that my Coinbase account balances are always wrong and I'm tired of manually changing every single asset every single day.

Can someone PLEASE help?
