I purchased Quicken October 2018 and it is no longer working.

Tried following the instructions re the patch - not easy and now I cannot even get into it!

So, I thought Id just buy it again, but even this is a problem as it is asking for a zip code but I now live in the UK.

I can supply a zip code and I do not want to download data from my banks so that is not an issue.

So, am I ok to go ahead and purchase it and will I be able to pick up the data from my current Quicken version?

re: "will i be able to pick up the data" kinda depends upon why Q2018 isn't working. If you've got data corruption, possibly not. What exactly is happening? Any error codes or messages?

You can try starting Q by clicking on a PROGRAM (not data file) icon while holding down the CTRL & Alt keys. That should cause the program to open without opening a data file.

If that worked, see if you can open your current data file. If that didn't work, see if you can restore from a backup that you recently created. You might (hopefully not) need to restore progressively older backup files until you find one that works.

If the program didn't open at all, you might have a program corruption issue. Can you re-install your Q program?
